Hat tip to Gary at View from the Wing for sharing yet another opportunity for free top-tier Platinum status in the A|Club loyalty program for Accor hotels. These include many European brands as well as a few that have some locations in the U.S.
Since this offer is targeted at Citi credit card holders in the U.A.E., I would expect it to get pulled before the published expiration if too many non-targeted individuals take advantage of it. However, I didn’t have any trouble getting my free Platinum status during an earlier offer in Germany.
These kinds of free bumps to elite status happen regularly but unpredictably. I’ve mentioned a few other opportunities in the past for free, cheap, or complimentary status as part of other elite programs. Even if you don’t actually plan to use your status with A|Club, you may be able to use it as leverage for a status match or challenge with another program that you do care about, like Priority Club.
