PNW Mileage Runs: PDX-BOS on UA for 3.8 CPM

Thanks to theBOSman on FlyerTalk for sharing this one. Although the lowest price (via IAH) is available in September, you can travel earlier via SFO for 4 CPM in August. Other dates may be available. At the best price you’re looking at $258.20 all-in for 6,832 EQM.

There’s also a fair amount of weekend availability at similar prices. I’ve been meaning to go to Boston myself and convince Megan it isn’t such a bad place to live, so maybe I’ll take advantage of one of these if it’s still available tonight. Although you have to pay up to depart out of SEA, you can depart PDX and return to SEA for about the same price.

    Not a bad price – not at all.  That said, those four hour legs in coach are at the extreme upper limit of tolerance, especially on United.  You must really want those EQMs.

      Well, every person’s limit is different. 4 hours is nothing in my opinion. 12 hours in coach going SFO-LHR is boring, but not exactly uncomfortable. I’d say the real trouble starts to happen if you are trying to fly 18 hours each way with two connections (like SEA-IAD-KWI-BAH). I was still comfortable on that one, but I was very glad for a shower at the lounge to wake myself up.
