I have this rule when shopping at certain retailers, like QFC, Banana Republic, or Crate and Barrel. Never, EVER pay full price. There's no reason to. Most grocery stores will put everything on sale at some point, so rotate your purchases and buy in bulk. Gap brands and Macy's are horrible at charging full price.
