I was a little caught up in the festivities at my dissertation defense yesterday and didn’t end the contest quite so promptly at 3 PM, but I don’t think too many people will mind. When I checked my account last night I had 812 Twitter followers, well over the 400 I started out with last week.
That’s a pretty good result, for me and for you! This means the first prize will be 4,000 Ultimate Rewards points, as originally stated, to represent the 400 followers I had in the beginning, and the second prize will be 8,120 Ultimate Rewards points to represent the final number of followers I ended up with. And it turns out Nathan is a Seattlite like me and one of my first 400 Twitter followers! That works out nicely. He’s an appropriate winner for this prize.
That’s a total prize of 12,120 Ultimate Rewards points, enough for a free hotel night or a roundtrip flight with some airlines! I’ll be contacting Nathan and Blaine later today to ask them if they have Ultimate Rewards accounts for me to deliver the points, or if they’d prefer I transfer them to a partner such as United or Hyatt.
