AAdvantageGeek shared a few days ago a new contest opportunity from American’s in-flight magazine for 50,000 AA miles and a free trip to New Orleans. The best part about this prize? On my last trip to New Orleans, the crowds really got to me, and this hotel was an amazing respite. Irvin Mayfield’s was also where I had my first (and so far best) Sazerac, one of my new favorite drinks. I highly recommend you stop by even if you don’t win the prize.
SPG Fall Promotion Announced – Mommy Points
Get 2X points on stays of 1-2 nights and 3X points on stays of 3+ nights. Clearly Starwood is trying to avoid the risks of rewarding short stays (just like Hyatt’s fall promo is based on the number of nights, not the number of stays). Like usual, there are a lot of non-participating hotels, but at least you can also earn bonuses for booking directly with SPG. This promotion runs from October 1st to December 20th.
Hyatt 48-Hour Sale Ends Soon – Loyalty Traveler
I didn’t share this earlier because I was revising a manuscript for resubmission, but you still have a few hours left to get in on the recent 48-hour sale from Hyatt. Unfortunately they haven’t been listing the applicable hotels in recent sales of this type, and I haven’t been able to find any that work for me and my travel dates. Expires tonight (Wednesday) at 11:59 PM CDT.
Improved 25K Sign-Up Bonus for Virgin America CC – Frequently Flying
At 15K points previously, this was probably the worst airline card offer I had listed on my blog (see my airline credit cards page for the rest of the list).
