My page on current Business Card applications is now live! Many of these cards have similar terms and bonuses to personal cards, so they provide an opportunity to double dip. This means there are also a lot of cards to include, so my list has only some of the many offers available, but I think they are the most important. Expect additional cards to be listed in the near future.
Note that anyone can open a business card if they have a small business or hobby from which they derive income. If the application asks for an Employer ID Number (EIN), just list your Social Security Number (SSN) instead. They’ll pull your file to evaluate the application, but the new account should not show up on your personal credit report. Expect to make a phone call to discuss your application and your expected revenue. It is not as easy as applying for a personal card, and your credit limit may be much lower, but it is certainly possible to do without owning a huge business.
Other changes I’ve made in the last 24 hours to the personal Airline, Hotel, and Bank Points pages:
YES! I can refer people for the new and improved 30K offer for the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express card.
You’ll have to send me an email, but you get the same 30K points as any of the other offers you’ve seen. Instead of an affiliate kick back, I get 5K points directly from American Express. Any of you who already have this card can also refer your friends. Just log in to your American Express account, and if you don’t see the advertisement button, do a search for “refer a friend.”
I made a mistake describing the AAdvantage American Express card from Citi.
An observant reader noted that I included two links to different offers, but in fact these two offers were for two different cards. That’s great news because it creates more bonus opportunities to collect! I’ve divided them to create two entries instead of one.
I had an inferior offer for the Virgin Atlantic American Express card from Bank of America.
I noticed this myself, but the change has been made. You can, in fact, earn as much as 50K points by applying for this card, and another 15K on your first anniversary.
So, I’m clearly trying to stay on top of these offers as they change. Those readers who have noticed mistakes and reported them to me will be getting an email about the bounty program.
