Double Elevate Points on Virgin America – View from the Wing

Gary shares a current promotion for double Elevate points when you fly any Virgin America route on the West Coast between now and November 15. Registration is required.

50% Bonus on Purchased Elevate Points – The Points Guy

If you don’t want to fly, you could just buy the points you need. But it’s not the greatest deal for use with Virgin America since they have a fixed-value award chart. Instead, TPG recommends use on parter carriers, like Virgin Atlantic.

Chance to win 80K Miles & More – Live from a Lounge

AJ shares an opportunity to win a huge bonus. However, it’s only open to customers based in Asia opening a new Miles & More account with Lufthansa.

New Points Break List from Priority Club – Mommy Points

These tend to go quickly, but they are a great deal. At regular intervals Priority Club will publish a list of Points Break hotels that can be booked for as low as 5,000 points per night. Usually it’s a bunch of Holiday Inns (normally 15,000 per night), but there are the odd luxury properties, too.

Possible $100 Statement Credit with Hyatt Visa – Million Mile Secrets

If you want to bypass the bloggers’ affiliate links, Daraius points out a way to get a statement credit on a new application for the Hyatt Visa from Chase. The trick? You have to be logged out while pretending to make a new reservation. I think this is a great card, well worth the annual fee because of the free night each year, and feature it on my list of hotel credit cards.

Win 50K SPG Starpoints – One Mile at a Time

Lucky gives away a lot of these points, and now he’s giving away 50K more. Why? I’m not quite sure this time, but you still have a week left to enter!

New Diamond Benefits at Hyatt Regency Waikiki – Miles from Blighty

I was glad to see how generous these new elite benefits are, everything from waived fees to discounts and additional welcome amenities. I prefer the north shore of Oahu, a stop here (at least to show Megan what a zoo Waikiki can be) seems worthwhile. ;)

100 Free Amtrak Points – View from the Wing

For those who collect anything and everything, Amtrak will give you 100 points just for liking their Facebook page. Don’t forget, you can transfer as few as 3,000 points over from Ultimate Rewards for regional routes like the Cascade Express to Vancouver, BC.

1,000 US Airways Miles Each Night with Conrad – Deals We Like

In addition, Conrad, one of Hilton’s brands, is offering 1,000 US Airways miles every night for stays through the end of this year.

    I am pretty bummed by the hyatt offer. I got this card 1 week before that 100 statement credit showed up. I sent Chase a secure message to try to get them to match the offer for me. They replied the would only match if I can prove I booked a hyatt stay on or before the date or my app. Pretty lame. I always heard Chase was great about matching a better offer within 90 days. I guess not! I sent another message back explaining my displeasure and the are basically ignoring it. The same person who responded before marked the message as a duplicate message. Now I want to pursue it just for being blown off but not sure it is worth my time.

      That’s too bad. But I think in this case Chase has a good point. The credit is intended for people making a reservation, and you weren’t. Most of the time I’ve found Chase to cooperate, but I haven’t yet applied for any cards through a reservations-linked application like this.

    I think a more appropriate response from chase would have been. ” we are sorry that you were not aware of this offer. We can extend this offer to you if you book a Hyatt room within X amount of days.” I would have done that in a heartbeat. The reasoning they gave was silly in my mind. Something to the effect of. This offer is intended for a person booking a room at Hyatt, and if we extended the offer to you we would have to extend it to everyone and that would be unfair to our customers applying for this offer today” HUH? the only way this crazy logic would make any sense is if this offer was limited to a certain number of applicants and when that number ran out the offer is over. I am just a little peeved that they made zero attempt to counter or try to make me happy in any way, and after reading so many good things about chase matching better offers, or working with people,,,,, well i guess ymmv.
