Rewarding Recap: Airline Enrollment Bonuses and $50 off Travelocity

I’m off on another mileage run tonight, and I also booked the last of my travel for the year, just pushing me over the threshold for Premier 1K status. It’s a nice feeling to have it all booked. And you know what? It pays to keep track of your travel, as I realized I would still be just a few miles short. I ended up switching the card I booked it with, using my MileagePlus Select Visa just to get those last EQMs for travel booked on United.com. So while some of my earlier posts may have been critical of being too obsessive about getting every last mile, it always pays to keep the details in the back of your mind.

Last Chance for American Miles with Netflix – View from the Wing

Gary shares that the opportunity to get 2,500 AAdvantage miles for signing up for Netflix is coming to an end. Will this be the end of similar promotions from American, or perhaps the end of all promotions from Netflix with all the airlines? I don’t know, but there are still opportunities to earn miles with several programs. United offers up to 4,000 miles, for example.

Priority Club Promotions for October – Loyalty Lobby

October is coming to an end, but John points out that many of these offers continue on for a bit longer. If you have any Priority Club stays coming up, be sure to pay attention. These bonuses often stack. I don’t stay at Priority Club properties very often, but I know that I’ve missed out on more than a few miles in the past because I didn’t sign up for something I would end up using later.

Airline Enrollment Bonuses – Miles Momma

Miles Momma has a very useful summary of all the different promotions for signing up for various airlines’ loyalty programs. Even if you don’t expect to travel in the near future, it’s good to sign up if only to be ready. (A recent promotion from LifeMiles was only open to existing members, not new ones who signed up that day.) Keep track of your spare miles using AwardWallet.

500 Le Club Accor Points – Just another Points Traveler

Angelina has the key to a weekly contest from Le Club Accor. Follow her instructions to get an extra 500 points in your account. Free offers of Platinum status come all the time, so those points may yet come in useful.

Marriott Bedding Facebook Giveaway – Loyalty Traveler

Ric shares a new promotion from Marriott, in which they’re giving away a new bed set every day (bed, pillows, sheets, you name it). They’re calling it “30 Beds in 30 Days.” Fairly descriptive ;)

$50 off $250 at Travelocity – Deals We Like

Now through December 31, book a hotel stay of $250 or more at Travelocity with your linked American Express card and get $50 back in the form of a statement credit. Keep in mind that you can link multiple American Express cards and earn several credits if you have more than one stay coming up. Travel must be complete by February 28. Check in with Deals We Like for more information.

5,000 Delta SkyMiles for SunTrust Debit Card – View from the Wing

There is still an opportunity to get a signup bonus (including some cash) if you sign up for a SkyMiles debit card from SunTrust bank. There were some problems earlier this year when people tried to sign up online, so you may need to actually visit a branch. Hopefully you live near one. However, this is one of the few debit cards that still offers rewards points.

20% Bonus on American Express Transfers to Etihad – Live from a Lounge

AJ Shares that for those of you interested in traveling on Etihad with American Express Membership Rewards points, there is currently a 20% bonus on transferred points.  The bonus is good through November 15.

Air Canada Bonuses for Travel through Key Airports – View from the Wing

I think this is one of the more interesting promotions out there. Rather than just give bonus points on a particular route, Aeroplan is giving points for flying either in or out of certain airports. So you don’t need to fly through both ends of a preferred, route, say Toronto to London. Flying through London would be good enough. (Original HT goes to tcook052 at MilePoint.)
