Don’t Forget: Bonus AAdvantage Miles for Reaching Your EQP Goal

Remember the American Airlines Facebook promotion that was announced last week? Everyone gets a unique goal for Elite Qualifying Points earned by May 23 in order to earn 2,500 bonus miles. That goal wasn’t provided immediately but is now appearing on some people’s profiles.

American Airlines Facebook EQP Goal

When I returned to the Facebook page, I was told my goal is only 3,500 EQPs. That could be as little as 2,000 miles flown with a full-fare or premium cabin ticket, while discounted fares may require flying 7,000 miles. Amol has a nice post that summarizes the difference between EQPs and more familiar EQMs.

I got 3800 EQPs – AA making it so hard after such an easy road to EXP last year. :P

Mine says 5400 EQP, but I already have a flight booked (LAX-PHX-ORD-NRT-ORD-PHX-LAX) that will easily clear that during those dates. I’m guessing since they can’t see it in my AA profile (under US DM# for now) they weren’t aware ;-)

Mine is a whopping 7700 EQP. That is insane!
